Living with suicidal ideation can be terrifying and exhausting and devastating. Even if you know you would never act on it, wanting to die and knowing you can't is it's own kind of torture. It can also be really lonely and asking for help can feel impossible. These courses are designed to provide you with tools to help you not only cope but to challenge the suicidal ideation and move towards a life free of these thoughts and feelings.

Available Courses

Safety Planning

When you struggle with suicidal ideation, safety planning is imperative to help you when these thoughts get too much for you to handle. But often, safety plans feel generic and unhelpful. During this course we will work together to develop a comprehensive, personalized safety plan that works for YOU. We will also identify steps that you can take to further enhance the effectiveness of the safety plan.

Guilt and Shame

Suicidal thoughts can often be driven by or inspire feelings of guilt and shame within you. This guilt and shame doesn't belong to you, but it can be hard to combat and often just make the suicidal ideation worse. This course will utilize a range of techniques to explore your feelings of guilt and shame, their origin and what is perpetuating them. We will then develop ways for you to challenge these feelings and work towards eradicating them from your life.

Finding your Future

When you're struggling with suicidal ideation, seeing any future for yourself at all can feel impossible, let alone a happy one. During this course we will use a variety of techniques to help you uncover the dreams and ambitions that have been swallowed by the suicidal ideation. We will then develop strategies that are geared towards not only helping you take steps towards that future but also helping you want to take those steps and have that future.

Living with Suicidal Ideation

Living with suicidal ideation can be excruciating and exhausting. This comprehensive course utilizes many different techniques to help you explore the impact the suicidal thoughts and feelings are having on you and your life. We will look at things like coping skills, grieving the loss of the life you once had, developing a support system and knowing when and how to ask for help and separating your identity from the suicidal ideation. We will also explore dreams and ambitions that have been squashed by the suicidal ideation and develop ways to plan for, and move towards a future without suicidal ideation.

This is a 3 month course.

I have struggled with SI for years and just kind of accepted that this is the way life would always be for me. Jay helped me understand where the SI was coming from and steps to take to start working on it. She also helped me see that this doesn't have to be my life, for which I am extremely grateful.
