About Me
From a young age, I knew I wanted to help others. That dream became reality when I co-founded an organization targeted at supporting people with eating disorders. I went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina and have received masters level training in both social work and law. I have completed suicide and crisis training through Lifelines 988 program and am an accredited Mental Health and Wellness Coach through the Nickerson Institute. More recently I have published two books on eating disorders and safety planning for domestic violence/stalking and am currently in the process of writing both a fiction and non-fiction book.
I am an Australian native who moved to the USA in 2011. In my spare time I love watching sports, writing, painting and spending time with friends and my pets (Mika - dog and Charlie - cat). I am also an unapologetic Hunger Games fan (as you can see from the quote below) and have watched those movies more times than I can count.
Throughout my life I have found writing to be extremely helpful for me both in helping me process through things and in helping me discover more about who I am and what I want from life. I now want to help you utilize writing in a similar way. Whether you are struggling with something, want to discover more about yourself or just want to write a book or start a blog or other writing project, I can help. Writing can be an extremely powerful tool when you know how to use it, as well as a very enjoyable way to express yourself and use your voice. You don't need to be a proficient writer to benefit from the power of writing. So please reach out to me and let's do this together!
